It is with much pleasure that the Michigan NENA announces the 2008 9-1-1 Conference and Exhibit Show.  This year’s conference will be held at the Sheraton, Lansing Hotel.  The conference dates are May 18th through the 21st.  The committee has planned several interesting and informative activities and sessions dealing with current and future issues in 9-1-1.  The program is coming together well.  Updated information will be available closer to the conference dates.

Pre-Conference Class:  Sunday, May 18, 2008

The Michigan NENA Chapter is planning to host a pre-conference full day instructional class.  This will be held on Sunday, May 18th at the Sheraton.  The cost for this class is $225.00.  Please see the Pre-Conference page for more information.

Vendor Equipment Exposition

Seven full hours of exhibit time during the conference are set aside for all registered attendees to view and discuss items of interest with our vendors.  A reception in the vendor hall will be held.

Opening Conference Keynote Speaker

The Michigan 911 Conference committee is pleased to announce this year’s conference will be opened by noted Lansing press corps’ senior member, Tim Skubick.

Tim Skubick is the longest serving member of the state capitol press corps with 38 years of covering Michigan government and politics.  He anchors the weekly public TV series, "Off the Record" and he covers the capitol for a variety of TV and radio stations.  He writes a weekly political column for 24 statewide newspapers and was recently awarded four Emmys. Skubick has written two books including his most recent on the race for governor:  See Dick and Jen Run. 

 

Opening Luncheon

Another great lunch is planned.  Our HERO’s presentation and other wonderful things will happen during this event.

ENP of Michigan

A special event for all ENP’s is planned for Sunday night.  “Dinner with our National President”.  All current ENP’s will be invited to a private dinner.  Watch for your invitation.
